This newsletter will focus on how to set goals. I am a regular reader and scroller on the "X" platform (formerly twitter). Almost daily, I come across great graphics created by people on topics that relate to the 100 Goals Club. This newsletter was inspired by an "X" post by Jonny Tooze on how to set goals. Tony is an entrepreneur, strategist, and architect of modern businesses. He build's and advises companies that work smarter — using clarity, systems, and technology to create real, sustainable growth. Over the past twenty-five years, he has launched, scaled, and chaired creative and technology businesses — from independent agencies to AI-driven ventures. Today his focus is on helping founders and leadership teams simplify growth, make sharper decisions, and design businesses that give them freedom, not friction.
Inspirational Quotes how to set goalsTony Robbins“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” — Awaken the Giant Within (1991) Attending a Tony Robbins seminar in 2018 was a major inspiration for writing my 100 Life Goals Book.
Zig Ziglar “A goal properly set is halfway reached.” — See You at the Top (1975)
Brian Tracy “Goals allow you to control the direction of change in your favor.” — Goals!: How to Get Everything You Want — Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible (2003) I listened to hours and hours of personal development lectures from Brian Tracy, on cassette tapes (before the digital era) when I was in my early twenties. I particularly liked Brian not only because he has the same name, but because he was a Karate blackbelt! For about 6 years, Karate had a major influence on my life.
Napoleon Hill “A goal is a dream with a deadline.” — Think and Grow Rich (1937)
Peter Drucker “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” — Attributed in Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices (1973) and widely cited in goal-setting contexts
Les Brown “Your goals are the road maps that guide you and show you what is possible for your life.” — Speech at the 1996 National Speakers Association convention; widely quoted in his motivational works Les Brown was another individual and powerful speaker on success principles who influenced me on goal setting. Check some of his material out by searching on YouTube.

https://www.100goalsclub.com/why-is-goal-setting-important.html The World Series MLB!!GOAL # 73 - ATTEND A MAJOR SPORTING EVENTThe Toronto Blue Jays are a Canadian team in Major Baseball League (MLB). The Blue Jays recently made it to the World Series of the MLB for 2025. The last time they did so was in 1992 and 1993. Toronto is a major Canadian city and just 1 hour from our home. As soon as the Blue Jays qualified for the World Series about 10 days ago, Kathy and I knew we had to try and get tickets for this World Series. We logged into the Ticketmaster.com website at precisely the time the tickets were to go on sale. To our surprise we made it to the ticket queue with just 5,000 or so people ahead of us in the ticket line. As a best of 7 game series, we had to decide which of the 7 games we would try and attend. We figured why not go for Game 7 . . . assuming the series would be stretched to the full 7 games. To win the World Series, the team needs to win 4 of the 7 games. At the time of writing this, the Blue Jays are tied 3 games with the LA Dodgers 3 games. The seventh game as I write this is tonight!! The entire country of Canada is behind this team and it will be wild if they win. We predict they will. To be part of this event win or loose will be amazing.
Next newsletter . . .My next newsletter will be on December 1, 2025 and relate to getting ready for your 2026 goal setting!
